Nice to meet you. My name is Jingyi, which sounds similar to "Genie" hence the title Growing Genie.

I strived to be perfect, pleasant, polite and people-pleasing. Yet deep down, I found myself resonating with a genie - a wish-granting creature imprisoned in an impression created for myself by myself.

Life happened and created change. I was faced with some of the biggest challenges I would never have thought of.

This is a space to document my experiences, thoughts, reflections, perspectives, and learnings during my journey of self-discovery, and eventually self-healing. Here is my experimental approach toward better understanding myself and building my new identity.
